Strawberry picking

This morning we went strawberry picking. A first for Natalee and boy did she enjoy it. We rode a hay wagon out to the strawberry fields, looking at a water wheel, birds and a broken down car. hahahaha - when we got off we each got a 4 quart basket to fill with berries - then we picked out row to pick from. Natalee had a hard time with the concept of red berries, - I even explained they should be red like Rojo the Firetruck from Dora. She got it for a while but then I would find berries with alot of white on them. Oh well a learning experience for her. Which she throughly enjoyed. Note when we set out for picking - she choose the long sleeve dress - even though momma suggested something else and she wore her pink knit hat until we got to the farm. She is my Bohemian child. :oD - She had so much fun that when we talked with Daddy before lunch all she could shout at him was "strawberry picking, strawberry picking...." wish she'd eat the berries again. She use to last year and the year before. :shrug: maybe she will again soon. Now there are more for me!!!

Forgot to mention we picked 8 quarts for $15 - what a bargain.
