This post I've been meaning to write for ages but never could figure out how to start it. So I guess the best way is to tell everyone that we have been attempting to re-start the adoption process we started over 10 years ago. We started the paperwork for it back in 2009. Our agency gave us a couple of names for a social worker to do our home study. But unfortunately for us - the social worker we choose, didn't do her job and we never did get a completed home study in Ohio. So now we are in North Carolina starting the home study process again! This weekend we will meet with the social worker - so hopefully in 6 weeks we will have a completed home study and be up and running.
We all want to add to our family. Natalee just said to me tonight unprompted - "mommy when are we gonna to adopt a baby? I want a baby brother or sister." It just breaks my heart that this is taking so long, when it shouldn't be like this.
For those that are interested, we are using the same agency as before - IAC. We will also be using all the social networking sites and have a dedicated website. So please if you can say a little prayer for us that the process is short. That the right birth mother decides we are the forever family for her baby.
