It is hard to believe that Natalee is now old enough to go to school. This fall she will be entering Kindergarten, my big 5 year old. She has the attitude and mouth of a big girl but the fears and energy of a little girl. Yes the best time to move a child is before they begin their schooling, but this move still has been hard on her. She is missing her buddies from the neighborhood and her friends from school, this too shall pass.
On the other hand, I must say we have decided on where she will go to school. This past Monday we registered her at Greensboro Montessori School. We think it will be a good fit for her. They have a great children's garden, about 3 or 4 classrooms for the Children's House as some Montessori Schools call it, that is the 3-5 year olds are in the same class. We have registered her for the Spanish Immersion program, I hoping it will go over well. When we talked about it with her she loved the idea, but true to a kid, she wants to know why they are teaching Kindergarten in Spanish and why she needs to go to the Spanish one. LOL - kid's!!!

And so it begins for us too! Starting kindergarten is about five days away and definitely a bittersweet feeling - tears of both joy and sadness about this rite of passage. Best wishes to Natalee (and Mom and Dad) on the first day!
