Well Natalee seems to be hitting some big milestones lately. Which might explain all the sleep and crabbiness. At any rate we got official word today that she will be moving up into Red Fish the next level of swimming next session. Which means she will be swimming in the BIG pool with her buddies. And jumping off the 1 meter board. She says she isn't going to do that until she is 6. But she is ready and wouldn't learn anything more staying with Miss Ruth. So today in anticipation of moving up, Miss Ruth took Natalee over to the BIG pool to swim after class. Nat swam back and forth in the lane until it got to deep for Miss Ruth to stand. She is loving it!! So keep your fingers crossed that she will transition smoothly next month into Red Fish.
At school she seems to be wowing her teachers again. She is showing them that she is a big reader. Twice this week she has read books to Miss Anne, one of her teachers. On Monday is was Green Eggs and Ham and today it was Cat in the Hat. Her itinerant teacher from Westlake schools also heard her read to Miss Anne, today. She was most impressed too. Natalee reading from the prompts of the pictures - not actual reading but just pre-reading skills. She is definitely going to be ready for Kindergarten next year. Which has just hit me now. My sweet little munchkin is going to be gone most of the day. I can't believe she has gotten so big. How did this happen. lol - Yes, I know how it actually happened. Mommy is just amazed at how fast time has flew by.
