Natalee did really well in Therapy on Wednesday. She actually completed a game that she wouldn't in a previous session. So we are making progress. She still wouldn't separate easily from me. But hopefully with time she will. We did discussion problem solving strategies for attending events with other children. At this time we will continue to arrive early until we can put in place some coping strategies for Natalee.
On the other side - Nat was evaluated today for the Special Needs Preschool in Westlake at Hilliard. Considering Nat refused to do simple things that she can do and basically went and hide - they would like to further assess her tomorrow at a play based evaluation. They will look at some of her social emotional problems - like refusing to do things that she is capable of, have the speech therapist evaluate her for some of the words that she seems to swallow when she says then and have an occupational therapist look at her for some possible sensory issues - like noise avoidance and possible light sensitivity.
When we finally complete this evaulation we will have a thick packet of information to review and then from there make a decision on where to proceed for preschool next year.
