Auntie Rachel with Natalee at West Side MarketThis weekend Natalee's godmother and mother from Detroit came to visit for the weekend. We visited, chatted, and shared meals. They also gave us a some reconnect time together. Rachel was hoping we'd have a market to visit and we hit her dream come true by taking them to the West Side Market - an old world market that is lot's of fun, food and adventure. After shopping, we stopped at Bar Cento for some Belgian fries with curry mayo - yum yum. I just wish they would add curry ketchup and sate sauce also to their selection. Some day. After we came home from the market and all the girls were settle, Dave and I ran some errands without our little gremlin, this made life so much easier. Thank you Thank you. Then on Saturday night we had a date night - what a wonderful gift that was. We decided to finally explore Tremont area of Cleveland - a trendy neighborhood. We shopped at Banyan Tree then onto dinner at Lolita's. Oh dinner was culinary adventure - a mix of styles old world fusion or as they write "Sophisticated, Greek-inspired Mediterranean cuisine to tantalize all the senses" - we had crispy chicken livers wild mushrooms and pancetta, for an entree Dave had bucattini with pork belly and I had pork shank with lentils and germolita, as a side I had fried bussel sprouts with anchovies and walnuts. Our mouths were dancing. We finished with a chocolate pots de creme and cappuccino's or lattes. Oh and not to forget the wines were also delectable. After dinner we took a walk - checked out the various restaurants and pubs. It's must stop location again.
