PACE night

Last night we visited Natalee's new school for PACE night, which is the night they show off all the hard work the kid's have done the previous 12 weeks, in dance, music and visual arts. Last night they had the dance performance, that was choreographed by the 5th graders, called Star Wars in Wonderland. Yes, that is right they merged 2 stories into one, Stars Wars meets Alice in Wonderland, it was extremely creative and Natalee was just glued to the stage watching these kids. I hope she enjoys this school as much as she enjoyed being there last night.

On a side note earlier this week we visited the school in hopes of making her transition in the fall easier. We spent about hour and half in one of the K-1 classrooms, it was the "dude's" classroom, i.e. two male teachers.  She played a game with one of the kid's in that class and we sat in on the class meeting. She was a bit hesitant but I think it went well. Because she recognized many of the kid's from that morning last night. And she saw of the teachers and had to run up and say hi and hug him.  So I think this is going to be good.
