Yes it's been ages since I've written anything here. We've been crazy busy. First up - we finally got a HOUSE!!! The one we put a bid on in late August asked us if we would be interested re-engage in negotiations. So we put in another offer at the same amount we bid before only leaving out her precious cabinets (they weren't anything special, just plain out home depot cabinets). After 36+ hours they finally decided to accept our offer. However buying a house in the post sub-prime loan era is much more challenging. It is beginning to feel like they (the mortgage co) will shortly be asking for our first born or access to our medical records. I/We have never had to submit so many pieces of financial paper work. They want to know exactly where each deposit came from, so with us moving our banking to NC form OH, we have been supplying them with statements after statements. It is exhausting and frustrating. According to our home mortgage consultant they finally have everything. I hope so since we are closing on Thursday at 10 am. Our final walk through is the same morning. It will feel wonderful for all of us to finally be back amongst our treasures, the dog to run in the backyard when he wants and not have to talk walks all the time, the girl to make neighborhood friends so she can have friends to play with after school. sigh . . . . . we all can't wait.
But as par for course for us, Dave leaves 2 days after we become homeowners again, leaving me with all the work. So I will be the mad painter next week, trying to get all the rooms painted before the movers bring back our stuff the following. We will be officially be living in a house again starting October 14th. YAY!!!
