deep thoughts

This afternoon we went to Crocker Park to play in the splash fountain. We were there maybe 10 minutes then they shut it off - for the day which we didn't know until 30 minutes later.  While we were waiting for the fountain to start up again - we witnessed a family pushing a young adult in a wheel chair. This individual was born with a condition - which we don't know. But it started a conversation with Natalee on why they were in the chair, what was wrong, was it a temporary boo boo, no a permanent condition. Big subject for such a small person. So that was it, or at least we thought.  Then at dinner she again started talking about this young person, why they were different, we had the most amazing conversation with her. I think she might have started to understand that this young person's life will always be in a wheel chair, never to run, jump, play ball, draw, climb etc.  I think we talked for about 10 minutes on this subject and it was absolutely amazing to see her think and listen to what Daddy was saying. She is definitely growing up.
