Camping

This past weekend we went camping. It was at the Rec Center, so it wasn't really roughing it but still a great introduction to camping for a little one. We pitched our tent next to a small gathering of our friends, then had dinner of grilled hamburgers, plus the side dishes people brought. Afterwards we did a scavenger hunt looking for specific objects, after we found everything Nat got a prize. We could have gone a nature hike run by the boy scouts but Nat was just having fun hanging and playing with her friends. The scouts came back, did a fire safety course and started a campfire. So we got to ROAST MARSHMALLOWS!!!! We had S'more's!!!! I was thrilled, Nat could care less. She didn't like marshmallows, plain or roasted. She just wanted the chocolate. After the campfire they played Toy Story 2 on the side wall of the Rec Center. I finally convince Nat it was time for bed at 11 and I promised to rent the movie so we could watch it later. She fell fast asleep in tent. Me, took a little longer, then some noisy loud geese woke me around 3:30 am. But it was fun. We went to go camping again.
