The broken arm saga continues
So yesterday we went to see the Nat's orthopedic doctor to have her cast removed. Or at least that was our plan. We removed it and as the Doc said yes there is a big bump in her arm but that will remodel over time. However after we had her weekly xray's taken it was discovered that one bone healed really good but the other one was still a little bit gummy or shall I say had cartilage the precursor to bone between part of the broken bits. So he was a big concern about the bone being dislocated by a fall. I was concerned with Nat's record of just falling off of kitchen chairs for no reason, her playing hard and fast all the time would just be the right formula to cause us to have to start all over again. So he decided in order to keep Murphy at bay (i.e. Murphy's law) that we have a special splint made by an OT that would have Velcro to keep it in place and offer more support than a standard splint. So we tomorrow we drive again back down to the doctor's office to see the OT and have a splint made. Keep your fingers crossed that all goes well.
